| 1934 and 1934A Richmond 1000s have the second lowest printing of any Federal Reserve Bank for this type. (ater Minneapolis.) I've had opportunities to handle truely Uncirculated Minneapolis 1000s, but never a Richmond $1000, until now. I am convinced that the "E" district is the most difficult $1000 district locate in Uncirculated grade. In GEM, it's even tougher than the 2212-I. My research indicates that only one other GEM 1934 or 1934A $1000 exists from six different grading services. That note was a GEM CU 65 graded by CGA. That makes the PCGS example offered here, the finest known for type. - A GEM district set of $1000 FRNs can not be completed without this note. |
