2221-K 1934 $5000 – Dallas

We recently sent this rare 5K back in for grading as we felt it should have received the “yellow-green” seal designation.  Sure enough it came back the same grade, problem free PCGS-B VF 35, but this time around with the correct seal color added.  We feel this adds significant value as yellow-green (LGS) was the  seal color of ALL 1934 ULTRA HIGH DENOMINATION NOTES when originally printed. – Today, only a tiny fraction of remaining 5K and 10K notes are designated this way.  This is due to the purposeful interaction with chemicals in an effort to “improve” these notes.  The net result is that usually no improvement and loss of yellow-green designation.
