This rare Series 1928 Atlanta District $1000 is tied finest known at PMG. It is one of only two notes graded at the GEM 66 EPQ level, none finer. Our fist encounter with this note was in the late 1990’s when it was purchased as part of a larger group of Atlanta District $1000’s dubbed the “Florida Find.”
The note itself is well centered as would be expected. Paper is creamy white. The note is deeply inked particularly on the forest green serial numbers and Treasury Seal. There is no teller handling what so ever. Deep punch through embossing is easily observed, even through the third party holder. – A trophy note of the highest order for enthusiast, collector and investor alike.
